My latest story of friendship in the workplace
I am 25 years old now, and I didn't expect my life to be like this. I'm quite surprised how a dreamer could turn out to be a successful person or just a full-time dreamer with laziness dominating her life.
I am in between both of them, I guess, as I am so flexible I could do absolutely nothing like a rock for a day, and on the other days I could be like a busy-bee and as productive as an ant.
I've worked for more than two years as an English teacher in an institution. I was lucky to meet a lot of new beautiful-hearted friends. I learnt a lot about growing up, discipline, teaching children and friendship everyday. A few of them are very mature and well-put that they remind me of moms. The others are like me, still have that immaturity that strangely changes when we're teaching the children.
You see, I don't have girl-crush with one particular friend as one of my old friends would think about me. I love all of them as my sisters I never had. I admire everyone of them for their ability to be themselves and be responsible with their decisions. I saw them leaving the institution one by one, to be married or to find other better workplace (the things that kept us working there were the salary, the colleagues and the students). It always strikes me with anguish to be parted from them. And when the day of my resignation came, Miss Evi gave me a farewell hello-kitty pillow as she knew how I love cats so much. It makes me think how all of us have the same feelings for each other!
For the last two years, I've learnt how important good environment is. You don't need a big paycheck, a luxurious desk/ workplace/ position. You just need supportive, sincerely kind, honest, religious members with good sense of humor in your team. You can create and maintain that kind of team by openly and periodically discuss it with them. Tell them how happy you are working with them and how drama doesn't worth it. Be professional when it comes to work-matters. Arrange some outing on the weekends or in the holidays with them. It sounds boring, but it would actually make your team more solid and your daily work would grasp the enjoyable outing feeling you've had. Every task would be easier with the members contribution. We successfully managed to organize two annual spelling bee competition in 2013 & 2014 and a reading competition in 2014.
For me, I would continue to keep in touch with them by phone and even join their weekend getawat sometime. :)

Re-arranging my bedroom ;D
Here's how I put my book collection beside the desk. Not so tidy, just the way I like it. On the top of the bookshelf is my makeup collection! More on that later!

Mentholatum Acnes Creamy Wash & Sealing Gel Review

image taken from google
I had my first acne when I was in Junior-High School. I was always bothered by how they ruined my face and could not help but squeezing it (“yuucckkk..!” I know, I know..). My Mom suggested to keep my hands off, or at least clean enough to touch my face. And she used to remind me to put on some of her Marcks’ Powder before I go out (She said it could protect my face from the sunlight, dust and pollution out there). And it did work, despite of my seldom application ‘cause of the laziness. :))
Then, my acne problem stopped when I was in my freshmen year at College… For a long time my face was flawless.. Yaayy.. But then when I go out at night often to watch some Metal Gigs, my face started to over-react with all the smoke, because most of the people in Metal Gigs smoke cigarettes. -_-” I really can’t stand people smoking next to me, but I didn't know my face is also allergic to smoke!! There were lots of small acne-like which was very surprising; I clean my face every night, especially after going out to a gig. And the worst thing was that it did not recover even though I tried so many acne gel or cream. :(
After my mother gave me that "I-told-you-so" look, I went to a dermatologist, and she gave me a complete-expensive skin care package: a day cream, a night cream, a cleanser, and a toner. They worked so well that my allergic wiped out by the time the products were almost finished. But when it did finished, I didn’t want to buy the same expensive product (which cost IDR 200.000) and to be dependent on it. So I found this Mentholatum Acnes Products at a Supermarket, and they look decent as an imported US licensed product. I tried it and it worked as well as my skin-doctor’s products! The doctor’s cream has made my face too-whitey, but this Acnes did not gave such result. I LOVE IT! I think it is good for those who has oily and combination skin because it cleanse your oily face. On the other hand, would make a dry face type even drier. I suggest you to apply moisturizer after you clean your face just to keep them soft and supple. ;3
The acne has been seldom coming ever since. Then I tried the Acnes Mentholatum Sealing Gel, which look a little yellowish but it’s invisible when you apply it. It also work very good on my face because it works like this: a few hours after you apply it onto the acne area, your acne will become red and your skin will absorb the gel, then the next morning it will calm down your acne and it looks better, or even completely gone. (Result may vary, depend on the acne condition). It is definitely work better than the other acne gel product I’ve ever used, and it doesn’t cost too much money!! :D
This two products are my most favorite and I’ve been using it until now.
OVERVIEW
Price: Cheap and reasonable compare with other local acne product. (***)
Quality: Very good. It works wonderfully on my skin. The creamy wash really cleanse my face like a pro, and the sealing gel really works to relief my acne in one night! (***)
Purchase again? : YES! Since I use just a wee bit of product everyday, it would last more than a month. The small tube creamy wash is very compact for travelling bytheway. :D
UPDATE 19-February-2012: The Sealing Gel's packaging is now in a small plastic tube, the product looks and smells the same but the quality is now decreased. i don't know why they would do this but I think they're trying to get more profit by "deceiving" the loyal customer. Sadly, with the latest poor quality, I'd have to find another acne gel that fights my acne as well as the older one. And I would not buy this product again. :(
